CD review Big Brovaz 'Nu Flow'

WHILE they have been flagged up as the British version of the American band 'Spooks', not much is known about new South London group 'Big Brovaz'.

Their first song which brought them crashing into the charts was Nu Flow and that's the title they decided on for their first album.

Not only that, but in such a short time on the music scene, they were nominated for a Brit Award, too.

The lyrics in the debut single are very quick witted, showing that this group of eight members is not to be taken lightly.

Nu Flow is an introduction to at least four members, Flawless, Dion, J Rock and Nadia.

The others are Randy and Cherise, with Skillz and Finaz responsible for the production of every song on the CD.

Could they be telling us exactly how and why the band formed?

There certainly seems to be that message, along with one of complete confidence in their own abilities.

Don't be mistaken into thinking that Big Brovaz are totally frivolous though.

They deal with some hard subjects, like young one-parents families.

And parents really should take notice of the advisory sticker - there are lyrics in some of the songs that are just not suitable for impressionable minds.
