Sian is Welsh foil champion

CONGRATULATIONS to 15-year-old Sian Blackman, of Dinas Powys who last weekend, March 2, became the Welsh Closed Foil Ladies Champion.

She is also representing Wales this Saturday at the Youth Four Nations Fencing Championships at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, in which she will be fencing epee in the under-18 team.

Sian is a pupil at the Bishop of Llandaff High School and previously St Andrews Major Church in Wales Primary.

She is coached by Professor Peter Stewart at school and at the Cardiff Club.
