I JUST had to write to express my thanks for yet another superb performance at the Norwegian Church. This time it was a string quartet of exceptional ability who entertained a very appreciative 50-plus audience.

With its eclectic mix of classical, jazz and folk music, the church has become a popular venue for people who enjoy a high standard of musicianship in a wide range of styles in an intimate setting.

In Cardiff's quest for the title "European Capital of Culture", the Norwegian Church is a relatively small but outstandingly bright beacon.
