HOW MANY policemen does it take to check a tax disc? Well, at a glance I counted at least 12.

I know I had to look twice at my tax disc to make sure it was in date, but does it really take that many policemen?

I understand that car tax evasion is a very serious crime and must be dealt with efficiently.

So efficiently, it takes: two police motorbikes, three or four squad cars, one camera vehicle unit and at least 12 of our finest boys in blue. Well done lads, I'd hate to see you walking the beat, checking we're safe, solving crime.

I travel a lot within a 100 mile radius of Penarth and I see more police on the road than I ever do on foot. It is a joke.
