Penarth Male Choir held their AGM at Victoria School last Friday under the able chairmanship of Mr D C Morgan in the absence of president Mr Ivor Griffiths.

The decision by the Vale Council to build a new £40,000 community centre at the Murch has been attacked by Dinas Powis Plaid Cymru.

Spare a thought this weekend for Margaret Hardcastle - the costume consultant for Penarth Gang Show 78. Her feverish activity of the last two months is now over. She has completed the mammoth task of costuming a cast of 150 in 18 items.

Mr F J (Freddie) Russell, of Westbourne Road, Penarth, a retired bank manager, is the nomination for president of the Welsh Lawn Tennis Association whose annual meeting is in Cardiff tomorrow (Saturday).
