Fire crazy

SO here we go again!

Two sunny days and all of us who like to breathe fresh air have to shut our windows so that some inconsiderate and lazy residents of our fair town can light their garden fires.

It is about time that the Vale Council paid more than lip service to environmental issues and declared itself a 'smokeless zone'.

In doing so, on the one hand our planet and health would benefit and on the other we would all be able to breathe the clean air to which we are entitled.

There is a facility for getting rid of this rubbish within a couple of minutes from the town and for those that don't have transport the council will supply green bags at a nominal fee for free collection.
