PARK Table Tennis players recently took part in the Cardiff Closed Championships held at the Eastern Leisure Centre, Llanrumney, and once again the silverware returned to Penarth.
Our young players performed well with Shaun Hall beating clubmate Craig Lewis in the final of the Junior Championship and young Emmerleigh Newman winning the Women's Championship, a great performance by all three players.
Owen Clutterbuck lost in the final of the Men's Championship to Neil Wright of Mackintosh.
There was an all Park Club final in the Vets Over 40, with Steve Hall beating Roger Grech.
With a few league titles still to be battled out, Park Club players will be well represented at the Presentation Evening at the Fairwater Conservative Club on Tuesday, May 6.
Anyone interested in playing table tennis (age immaterial), coaching sessions are held every Monday evening at Hebron Hall from 7pm - 9pm, or if you want to practice or improve your game, just come along.
There are five tables to try your skills with a coach to help and advise you.
