Anna runs for Wales

ANNA Symonds of Stanwell School represented Wales in an international schools' cross country running match against England, Ireland and Scotland in Dublin on Saturday, March 29.

Competing in the Under-15s event, Anna finished in 13th place in a field of the nations' top 32 junior runners.

Completing the 3,500 metre course in 13 minutes, 5 seconds Anna played an important part in helping the Welsh junior girls team to take the silver medal.

Anna was placed fourth out of the Welsh runners, building on her earlier success in the Welsh schools' championship in Brecon on March 8 where she finished seventh.
