l200 trees at the Llandough Farm development site, Llandough are to be felled because of their condition.

lPenarth Rotary Club, Penarth Round Table and Penarth Rugby Club have withdrawn from organising this year's Holiday Week fireworks display.

Roy Barker and Caroline Smith sailing "Bean" started the 1978 season at Penarth Yacht Club last Sunday, by winning the Spring Points.

Margot Carter was installed as the new chairman of Penarth Ladies Circle by retiring chairman, Moira Thomas.

An exhibition of the work of the late Betty Cohen, of Sully, is on display in the New Entrance Hall of the Welsh Folk Museum, Cardiff.
