CD review Eye Candy Mis-Teeq

WITH a strange mix of cool grooves and weird tempos, this album would probably not be the best for new converts to Mis-Teeq.

Their latest release Eye Candy is jam-packed with 15 tracks, but while you can appreciate the girls are talented, they just don't seem to be comfortable sticking to one style or another.

First they sway you with a gentle ballad, then halfway through the song start rapping.

When Mis-Teeq decide on one sound and stay with it, like in their hit single Scandalous, it really gets you going.

It's Beginning To Feel Like Love is very sweet, with simple sentiments and a regular beat.

But reading, rather than listening, to some of the lyrics, it makes you wonder if these girls are on the same planet.

All In One Day is an agenda put to music, with the vocalist complaining there aren't enough hours in one day to get her nails done, go shopping, see her mum, go clubbing... oh bless!

Fans of Mis-Teeq will probably love this. But for new recruits, it may be best to borrow it from a friend before committing your cash.
