Tennis camps at Rectory Road

COME and join club coach, Anna Sorkin for coaching, fun, games and mini tennis throughout the Easter holidays at Penarth Lawn Tennis Club in Rectory Road.

Anna has organised lots of sessions for children of all ages and abilities to come and enjoy tennis at the club.

The sessions started this week and will run again next week from Monday, April 21 to Wednesday, April 23.

There will be Tiny Tots Tennis for ages two to four each day from 10am to 10.30am at £1.50 per session.

This will be followed from 10.30am to 11.30am by a Mini Tennis Red Group for ages five to seven (with a ten-minute break).

From 11.30am to 12.30pm the courts will be full of children aged seven to ten years enjoying more structured fun games in the Mini Tennis Orange and Green Groups.

The Red, Orange and Green group sessions will be £3 a day for members and £4, £7 and £10 for one, two or three days respectively for non-members.

Each day there will be coaching from 1pm to 3pm for ages 11+ to give the youngsters a chance to improve their tennis and have fun at the same time.

These afternoon sessions are £5.50 per day for members and £6.50, £12 and £17 respectively for non-members.

We can't promise that you'll be ready to play at Wimbledon this year, but we can ensure that you have good fun trying!

Anna is also running Junior Ratings Days for boys and girls already playing competitive tennis and keen to improve their rating.

On Thursday, April 24, boys and girls in Division 7 rating will each play two matches and those with a Division 6 rating will take to the court on Friday, April 25.

Entries for these two days are on a first come first served basis and as these events are highly popular and open to players from other clubs, you are advised to ring Anna on 07947 044277 as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
