I AM ENCLOSING a cheque for £50 for the St Augustine's Restoration Fund. The church has a family connection with me.

My grandfather, Robert Stevens, was a church warden there and he and my grandmother are interred in the churchyard. He died in 1944.

My mother died in December 1996 and her ashes have been interred at the same grave.
