Car parking

MAY I show my disgust at the current charging system for disabled people using the Captain's Wife pub's car park?

The Pay and Display notices are plain to see but appear to apply only to able-bodied motorists.

The signs near the disabled parking merely state "disabled and pass holders only"- no mention of paying is made - although I'm sure, like me, other disabled drivers wouldn't mind paying if it was made plain that we had to.

The marks on the car park are exactly the same as used by the local authority, thereby leading to the assumption that the same rules apply.

So, other disabled badge holders beware, or like me, a pleasant hour will cost you £50!

The Captain's Wife were asked for comment to the readers letter but failed to respond before we went to press.
