IN LAST week's issue of the Penarth Times, John Smith MP explained how Labour was tackling low-level criminal activity.

Being a recent victim of such crime, I am able to state how the police in Penarth deal with such crime. In my experience, they do nothing.

So Mr Smith, do not give us Labour spin.

The reality is that offenders continue offending with impunity due to what I believe are ineffective police who, by the way, already have enough existing powers to deal with such crime. It's just that they do not want to.
