Scout fete

ON BEHALF of the Penarth and District Scouts, I wish to express our sincere appreciation to all the friends and members of the public who supported us so generously at our recent May Day Fete held in Victoria Playing Field.

After a week of indifferent weather, the day proved to be a lovely family day out with plenty of sunshine for all the 'fun of the fair.'

Our thanks also to the governors of Victoria Primary School for use of the field; Penarth police; the Vale council; Tesco, Penarth; St John's Ambulance and Penarth Times for kind assistance.

As a result of your tremendous support and generosity, our many young members in Penarth, Llandough and Dinas Powys will benefit greatly, and our volunteer leaders will now be able to continue their efforts with providing equipment and training as part of their job in the Scout movement.

Thank you everyone!
