DVD review One Hour Photo

PERHAPS this film is so chilling because it really could happen to you.

One Hour Photo stars Robin Williams as lonely photo technician Seymour 'Sy' Parrish. Working in the clinic surroundings of SavMart, Sy - the photo guy -becomes deeply obsessed with the Yorkins, a young and beautiful family.

Through developing their snaps, Sy starts creating his version of their lives.

But when photos come in from a stunning young woman he recognises, Sy's world starts to fall apart.

And it gets worse.

To fuel his obsession, Sy had re-printed hundreds of extra copies of the Yorkin's pictures for his own records over nine years, without thinking of the consequences.

When the figures don't tally, there is only one option and Sy loses his job.

This film has been critically acclaimed as a psychological thriller and it deserves all the praise it has so for been given.

At certificate 15, it is definitely not one for younger viewers, as there are some graphic scenes that could upset people under the recommended age.

But for a gripping one-and-a-half hours, get this movie.
