NOT EVERYONE wanted the Barrage, the wading birds wouldn't have feeding grounds.

But I think you must agree, it's been a huge success.

People don't like change, even if it benefits the town.

Now, at last, something is being done to ease the congestion of cars to our little town centre.

I agree, we do need a car park and soon, but the square is a start. I've heard people say they will shop out of town.

They're so lucky - I and many more don't have a car, so we have to shop in Penarth and we do need more food shops.

As far as losing trade - look at Holton Road, Barry and Queen Street in Cardiff. Both car-free and they're thriving!

Who were the vandals who wrecked the flower container?

We need CCTV to catch the mindless few who don't add anything to Penarth, just ruin things for others.

Let's support what the Vale is doing and see how good it could be, but give us a car park and get rid of ALL town parking completely.
