CD review Now that's what I call music 53

IT'S BEEN out for ages, but so what?

As the weather starts to improve (we can hope) Now That's What I Call Music 54 is one of the best possible summer soundtracks.

The double CD gives you a choice of 42 hits and there's very little doubt that you will have been humming most of them for some time.

The first CD kicks off with the controversial t.A.T.u and All The Things She Said, before turning up the heat with some funky little numbers like Make Luv (from the Lynx advert) and Richard X vs Liberty X's version of Being Nobody.

If there is a question of billing - which there probably isn't - then it's easy to see that Girls Aloud are scoring a little higher than One True Voice.

But at least both Pop Rivals' songs are included.

And you cannot forget the Fame Academy students either.

With three of the finalists on this album - Sinead Quinn, Ainslie Henderson and, of course, the winner David Sneddon, there's no way they could slip by unnoticed.

The second CD is just as good, with a really good mix of tracks to keep the party spirit going.

For that lull in conversation, fast forward to Panjabi MC's 'Mundian To Bach Ke' which will get the garden jumping again.

Or just let the whole thing flow, and catch strains of Oasis, Robbie Williams and the Sugababes.

Put these two CDs on your multi-play and just get that barbecue going!
