Driven away

WHEN we came to live in Penarth the Esplanade had adequate car parking.

The car could be left and a walk along the prom and a seat in the gardens with access to something to eat was enjoyable.

Who wants to spend time in a car park? There is never a space even if required (I am registered disabled).

To get into town from Lower Penarth is becoming more and more frustrating.

To get out of Beechwood Drive will soon be impossible (because of the lights at the Victoria Road junction for three or four hundred more cars as a result of the new estate).

Lavernock Road with said traffic lights will be a nightmare.

The town centre I shudder to think of! It is already easier to go to Barry, where I now do a lot of shopping and the waterfront is accessible and pleasant.

Come on Penarth!

You are driving people away.
