Lucy calls on old friends for her dream wedding

NEWS beauty Lucy Cohen hopefully won't be short of offers after her appeal for someone to put her up in a Welsh village.

The blue-eyed newsreader is marrying TV presenter Rhodri Owen next year, but there's a hitch.

She has always dreamed of tying the knot in the quaint St Andrew's Major church in Dinas Powys, but the law of the land says she must live there for 15 days before the wedding.

She laughed: "If there's anyone out there who has a spare room for a couple of weeks, give me a ring. Otherwise I may have to camp on the village green."

Lucy chose the church as it was where she was christened when she was 13.

Her Jewish dad and Christian mum let Lucy choose her own faith when she was a teenager. "It was a special day, and I have pictured myself getting married.

"I have to live there for a couple of weeks. Fortunately, I have a few old friends in the village who might be persuaded to put me up."
