IN REPLY to Mr W G Robertson's recent letter to the Penarth Times, we should like to point out that the town manager has never been into our shop to introduce himself, or to ask how we feel about the pedestrianisation of Lower Glebe Street immediately outside our premises.

And now the deed is done, has he or any of the councillors that are for this scheme been in to see us, or ask how it has affected trade over the last month? The answer is 'no'.

Only Mrs Ruby Osborne and Maureen Kelly Owen of Penarth Town Council have asked how it has affected our trade. We believe these ladies, like most traders in Glebe Street, don't want pedestrianisation.

Please listen to us, or there is a chance you could lose your small local shop.
