IF THE road to new ideas is fraught with difficulties, and I refer to the creation of the new town square, the upside is worth consideration, too.

Here we have a space with ample seating for pageants, comedians, poets, dancers and jugglers to entertain and bring in those to benefit traders. And why not a town poet, or dramatist as we have elsewhere in Wales?

Thus far, drama is limited to the Paget Rooms and its shortcomings.

Nevertheless, on July 17, The Penarth Players will be presenting, for the second year, a new murder mystery of mine, The Death of a Nightingale.

This has been written for the community and for the Holiday Festival and if any resourceful person out there is willing to sponsor this production let them get in touch with me on 2070 3588. And enjoy the show!
