OF all the towns in all the world she had to come from Penarth!
On Saturday the Big Brother housemates welcomed Penarth girl Lisa Jeynes into their house.
The 35-year-old, of Teasel Avenue, joined the six other contestants after BB bosses decided to give them a surprise.
We spoke to Lisa's close friend Lucy Walls, a former Penarth girl herself.
Lucy, 35, who once lived in Dyserth Road but now lives in Scotland, said: "She's a brilliant lass, full of beans and really high spirited. She is in there 110 percent to win. Her family are very proud of her."
Lisa, who attended St Cyres School, has just completed an Open University degree. She used to work as a beauty consultant at Cardiff store Howells and also worked in retail as a manager.
Once in the house one of the first things proud Lisa did was tell fellow housemates where she was from. She said: "A small town outside Cardiff, called Penarth."
Lisa is exempt from nominations during her first week. So far bookies put her at joint fourth favourite to win the £70,000 prize. Tomorrow's episode will see Nush, Ray or Gos evicted.
