I AM researching family history and I am looking for the daughters of Idwal Evans, of Treherbert/ Treorchy. I have heard one lives in Penarth and the other in Porthcawl.

Idwal's parents were William Evans and Margaret Evans who moved from Whitland, Pembs, during the start of the coalpits in the Rhondda.

They had one daughter Sofia, born in Whitland, and the others were born at 94 Bute Street, Treherbert, or Ty Bethania, Treorchy - John Rhys, Arthur Herbert, Sarah Anne, Gwilym, David, Abeico, Margaret, Gildas, James, Mary, Elizabeth, Idwal, Islwyn.

I am hoping the lady in Penarth will recognise the names of her aunts and uncles (or perhaps her sons or daughters if she has any) and I would appreciate it if she would contact me as I am endeavouring to write a book.
