Frustrated residents claimed that Llandough was a forgotten area and accused the Vale of Glamorgan Council of ignoring their case for improved recreational facilities.

Mr Vivian Diamond and his son Robert proudly showed off the trophies they had won at the annual Cardiff Bread, Cake and Confectionery exhibition to the staff at The Cottage Bakery, Penarth.

A petition called for the creation of traffic free zone in the village centre at Dinas Powys. It was thought this it may lead to a scheme to reduce through traffic.

After the disappointment of losing their 100 percent league record, Dinas Powys FC senior side bounded back in grand style with a morale boosting 6-2 win against Cardiff Freebooters at Pontcanna on Saturday November 20
