The plan to give tenants of the Prince Charles Flats, Penarth, security from vandalism and trespass has run into a financial snag.

A Dinas Powis councillor, Cllr Win Griffiths, said he was "over the moon" after being chosen by the Labour Party as their candidate for the South Wales seat for the European Parliament.

Sally Miers, Melanie Price, Marina Drawbridge and Sheena Rattrey of the Schooner Inn, volunteered their time to help serve St Joseph's RC Church parishioners on the occasion of their annual luncheon at The Schooner last Sunday.
