Regal setting for Agricultural Show

1What a fantastic event!

2The Vale of Glamorgan Agricultural Show brought a carnival atmosphere to the fields of Fonmon Castle, and the sun shone on a multitude of activities for the whole family.

3The event started bright and early at 8.25am when the judging of the livestock began, and there was a host of animals for sale on the day. And that's not to mention the tents of tempting tastes, mouth-watering morsels and stalls offering sumptuous sweets.

What more could you want?

4Well, for those hard-to-please individuals, there was a vintage tractor exhibition, fairground rides, entertainment and even a small train to take you on a sight-seeing trip around the grounds. The only shame is that the show lasted for just one day. With so much going on, it would have been just as bustling over a second - or even third.

5These are just a few of the special moments from the day, caught on film by our photographer Glyn Paul.
