A massive Welsh Development Agency grant of £126,000 for land reclamation means that the whole of the Cosmeston Country Park on the outskirts of Penarth will now be open to the public earlier than originally planned.
The £500 prize in the Vale Council's third lottery has again gone to a Penarth winner, Mrs Mona Brazier of Hewell Street, Cogan.
Residents in the Highfields/Powys Close area of Dinas Powis are asking the Vale Council to change the siting of the proposed tennis courts at Seel Park.
Vandals hurled a stone through a stained glass window at St Augustine's Church, during the evening service on Sunday, July 16.
