A CHARITY match for Craig Hopkins was held at the weekend, to celebrate his life.
Nine teams joined the event in a knockout tournament. Each player gave £5 towards the purchase of a bench to commemorate Craig's life.
The 19-year-old was knocked down and killed last week, on a night out with friends. He was a very well-liked person and the football match on Sunday showed his popularity, with more than 150 people attending.
On the day, the Bo Janglers were the eventual victors in the final, beating the Egg Chasers 1-0.
The organisers were Kevin Clarke, Scott Muir, Andrew Wingren, Chris Spear and Jason Bousie. Beverley Rees-Davies sold raffle tickets.
Many of the prizes were donated to the match by local businesses and Cardiff City gave signed merchandise.
