Penarth Band Feedback are all set to return to the Paget Rooms on Friday, September 7, for their first concert since March.

The general public is under the impression that the Vale Council operates a continuous standby service, and men can be called out at any time to deal with an 'emergency.'

Penarth writer John Crosby, of Windsor Road, has just revealed that for three-and-half years he has been virtually unable to go into public places - because he suffers from agoraphobia.

Responding to the Government's instruction for an immediate cutback in public expenditure, South Glamorgan County Council is to reduce its spending by nearly £2.4 million in the current financial year.

Dave Frost, of Station Hotel, is the Penarth Darts League 1979 Summer Singles Champion.

Penarth Rugby Club begins its centenary season with an all star seven-a-side tournament at the Athletic Field on Bank Holiday Monday, August 27.
