3rd Team Vale League: Dinas Powys 3 Blazes 2

WITH the referee not arriving for this game there was doubt about it going ahead but eventually it was decided to play the game with one of the Blazes officials volunteering to referee the game.

Dinas took the lead after ten minutes with a great strike from Thomas Hamonet from the right hand corner of the penalty area, the ball flying into the left top corner. Blazes came back strongly and scored a goal either side of half time to lead 2-1.

After weathering heavy pressure Dinas came back with excellent one touch passing to score two goals from Steve Herniman to seal the game in the last 15 minutes.

1st Team Welsh Cup Round 1: Dinas Powys 6 AFC Porth 0 Dinas were able to field their strongest side so far this season and it showed against a side who are top of the Welsh League Third Division.
