Humane

I totally agree with Vale of Glamorgan councillor Rob Curtis' about fox hunting.

I cannot quote figures, but I am confident badger baiting nearly lost us a beautiful animal.

There may be truth in arguments that thousands of dogs will become redundant, but I have seen a documentary about raccoon hounds in America, that still bred and exercised without any harm to their usual prey. If foxes are a problem (though don't they help keep the rabbit population in check?) there must be a humane solution. Chasing a defenceless creature miles before a brutal death at the jaws of a dog, or through exhaustion and shock, is hardly merciful.

We are meant to be a civilised nation, are we not?
