Different

WELL, it is different. I picked up my Penarth Times as usual last Thursday - or rather, not as usual.

Looking for the old mast head, I almost missed the new-look edition completely. And when I say old, wasn't there a change in image just a few years ago?

Anyway, it will take me a while to get to grips with the hatches, matches and dispatches not being at the front of the paper, but I suppose that is no bad thing.

From the advertisers point of view, it has got to be a bonus. Readers have to pass their pages to reach the family announcements, which will surely catch their attention. A cunning plan, maybe?

In all honesty, there was nothing wrong with the Times' last look, to my untrained eye, but I will keep reading the old rag, because it still has what I like in it.

And you know what they say - a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Who really cares how you print the Penarth Times, as long as you keep on printing it.

A Phillips Llandough
