Inspiring

WHAT an inspiration to us all. I am talking about the Paralympics and the dedicated young men and women who overcome phenomenal personal difficulties to excel in their sports.

And there is no better example than home-grown talent Tanni Grey Thompson.

She has done her country proud in each and every way that she conducts her life.

No-one can doubt her dedication to her sport, or her charm and personality that shines through when she is interviewed on radio, television or for a newspaper article.

We also give credit, and rightfully, too, to David Davies for his achievements.

I think Tanni went to St Cyres as well so that is a school that can be pleased with its past pupils' accomplishments.

But David has only just started his career and Tanni has been proving herself over and over again: what an incredible woman.

Whether she makes it to the Beijing Olympics or not, Tanni has won a place in British history, has succeeded in putting Wales firmly on the map and has done all this with grace and dignity. Congratulations, Tanni.
