Local traders are concerned at a suggestion that Ludlow Lane, Penarth, should be closed to traffic and made into a pedestrian way.

Bob McTurk, producer of this week's comedy play Angels In Love at the Paget Rooms, described the costumes as "magnificent" when they were unpacked last Sunday just prior to the dress rehearsal for Penarth Operatic and Dramatic Society's latest production.

Penarth District Scouts, in conjunction with Barry Radio Club will be taking part in the annual worldwide "Jamboree on the Air" on Saturday and Sunday, October 20 and 21.

One of the worst starts to a season experienced for several years continued with both Dinas Powis RFC 1st and Athletic XV's faring no better in the East last Saturday than they did in the West the previous week.
