DVD Review - Taking Lives

THE PLOT behind Taking Lives should mean the film is a spine-chilling, edge-of-your-seat thriller. But sadly, it falls a bit flat.

With an all-star cast, there's no doubting the acting talent that's gone into this flick. Angelina Jolie takes the lead opposite Ethan Hawke with Kiefer Sutherland, Olivier Martinez and Jean-Hugues Anglade in supporting roles.

And the chronology of the film is a bit too jumpy. There are certain things brought into the film in a clumsy effort to get the plot to a certain place. There are no reasonable explanations for why key events happen and it leaves you asking unanswerable questions.

But all in all, it's a fairly decent movie and it would be beneficial to all the scaredy-cats out there to have a handy cushion close by.
