A PENARTH man has been able to establish himself as a professional musician thanks to a government scheme.
David Jones, 29, of Windsor Road, is an up and coming music producer, with high profile projects that could make him the next big name in trance music.
David recently signed to record label 'Renk' and has now embarked on the promotion of his first release.
David's single 'Arrival / From Here to the Stars' was offered to the world of showbiz last month under his artist name Inferno 24.
David, a former St Cyres pupil, said: "When I was 16-years-old, I never thought that the equipment I used in his music lessons would set a precedent for what I would end up doing as a full-time career.
"I have always done office-type jobs and making music was always a hobby. But I wanted to make it something more serious than that and now I've been able to.
"I'm really excited about what has happened. I've done a number of test releases and 'Renk' will be distributing my stuff with clubs and DJs in London. The type of music I produce is progressive, mainstream trance with a definite European sound."
David has been put on the right track to fulfilling his ambitions in music with the help of the government's New Deal scheme which has got him going in the right direction and given him the guidance he needed to get his business up and running.
David said: "Without the New Deal scheme, I would never have had the 'front' I needed to put myself out there and speak good business sense, as well as show them that I could make music. Now I have that, my career is moving forwards."
