Are you in the pink?

A PENARTH colour therapist will take part in Wales' largest Natural Health and Healthy Living Show in Cardiff next weekend.

Hilary Bowles, who runs the healthfood store Beanfreaks, uses the significance of colour to assess how to overcome the challenges we face in our lives.

Hilary said: "Colour is an energy, and it is no coincidence that we are attracted to certain colours. We require energies to establish balance and harmony in our lives on four levels - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually."

"We have seven invisible energy centres in the body which need to be fed with colour. How you think and feel is reflected in your colour choice.

"We all have favourite colours, and through analysis of colour selection, the therapist is able to gain a deep insight and understanding of the conscious mind, and help to release emotional blockages and past conditioning."

Hilary added: "Many people know they are not feeling well, but cannot work out why. Through colour we can establish the root cause of problems, and then look at ways to remedy them. By the end of the consultation, you will have gained an insight into what can be done in order to move on in your life working, on the principle that each person is unique and knows themselves better than anyone else."

The Cardiff Natural Health and Healthy Living Show takes place from 10am to 6pm on October 30 and 31 in the Students Union building at Cardiff University.

Experts will be available to offer advice in a wide range of areas, including more well-known therapies, such as reflexology, acupuncture, massage and aromatherapy and slightly more unusual areas such as reiki, shiatsu and colour healing.

The show will include 80 exhibitors in total. Ad-mission is £2.50 for concessions and £3.50 for adults.
