PENARTH Rugby Club is urgently trying to find a heavy metal bracket which was "borrowed" from outside the clubhouse on Sunday, October 24, as finishing touches were being made to the new £3,000 floodlights which allow Penarth junior, youth and senior rugby squads to train during winter evenings.
The heavy piece of metal is about one foot long by six inches wide, with a forked 'Y' shape at one end with two holes and is greyish with traces of white paint.
The bracket is essential for raising and lowering the tall floodlight columns and is useless for anything else and certainly has no scrap value. The club is asking residents with gardens near to the ground to have a look in case the culprits threw the bracket over a wall. A reward of £20 is offered for the return and anyone finding it is asked to phone 07761 123435.
