The coastline between Penarth and Barry is expected to play an increasingly important role as an area of rural recreation in the future.

Bewitching the members at Penarth Conservative Club's Halloween Night celebration were Stewardess, Pam Coombes and barmaids Tracey James and Sue Belton.

Penarth Town Council is planning to use the Santa Claus and Benevolent fund to help only those in real need this Christmas.

The Church of England Children's Society jumble sale raised over £130 and the committee thanked everyone who helped to make the event such a success.

Seven-year-old Alicia King won the prize for the best guy at the Penarth Firework Fiesta and Bonfire on Monday night for the second year running.
