Tour proved a big success

PENARTH Rectory Road Indoor Bowling Club recently went on their very popular Annual Bowling Tour, organised by Ron Maggs.

This year the venue was Warners Lakeside on Hayling Island.

The bowling was first class and very competitive and the final was a nail-biting game, resulting in a draw. The extra end was conclusively won by the team skipped by Belle Vue bowler Peter Small, along with Pat Small and Marjorie Thomas also from Belle Vue and the charming and talented Danny Curtin of Rectory Road.

The gallant runners-up team consisted of Ken Read, Ken Totterdale, Les Jones and Alex Findlay of Rectory Road.

Belle Vue Outdoor Bowling Club is a small friendly municipal club and is very keen to recruit new members, male and female. If you are new to bowling, there are several qualified coaches willing to give their time and you can 'have a go' with no pressure. We will lend bowls etc. Think about it through the dark winter months, and if you are interested telephone Pat or Peter of Belle Vue Bowling Club on 2070 9042
