MOYRA Smith, Dinas Powys Golf Club lady captain, has chosen the Haematology Department of Llandough Hospital as her charity for the year.
She recently presented a cheque for 585 to Dr Ala Al-Sabah, of the Haematology Department.
In the run-up to Christmas, a turkey trot nine-hole competition is held each week.
Medal results for November 2; winner Helen Tarry 45-7.5=37.5; runner-up Audrey Harwood 49-11=38. There were 22 entries.
Stableford results for November 9: winner Zena Graham 20pts on back 6; runner-up Dorothy Phillips Amery 20pts. There were 38 entries.
