Thumbs up for Centre

WITH the opening of the Wales Millennium Centre at the weekend we asked Penarthians this week if they thought the project was money well spent.

David Owen, 54, of Bradford Place, said: "I am very much in favour of the project and would have to say it's money well spent. I am very pleased with it. I am a musician myself and I think I probably will attend events there."

Roy Horrobin, 55, of Fairfield Road, said: "I must say I'm very impressed with both the interior and the exterior of the building. I was at first concerned that the programme of events might be slightly elitist but having seen recent television programmes on the centre I don't think that will be the case.
