Lot to be proud of

SULLY Colts U14s kept up their unbeaten league run with an emphatic 8-1 win at St Athan. The goal scorers were: Sam Wooster two, Haidn Dibble two, Peter Fordham, Lewis May, Matthew Green and Nat Taylor-Moore. The game, however, will be best remembered for a number of achievement medals awarded to the players.

Lewis Hocking in goal set a club junior record of seven consecutive clean sheets. The St Athan goal from the penalty spot was the first Hocking had conceded all season. Although the Colts have dominated all their games territorially, they have not been awarded a penalty, whereas this was the third penalty awarded against them.

The Colts have played 55 league and cup games in two and a half seasons. Sam Wooster and Haidn Dibble have missed just one game and Shaun Jachontow, Lewis May and Max Wootton have missed only two. A further four players: Rob Gill, Nat Taylor-Moore, Mike Lee and Huw Morgan are within a couple of games of the 50 mark. These nine players have been ever-present which is testament to their commitment and loyalty to the club.

The Colts have also played 54 junior friendly games. Dibble 105, Wooster 103 and Jachontow 102 have all hit the 100 game mark, out of a total of 109 junior games.

The final accolade went to Dibble. Since joining the Colts at the end of the U11 season, he has scored an incredible 207 goals in 113 games - and all from centre midfield.
