Clair is selected for Welsh national squad

CLAIR Huish, Penarth Lacrosse Club's popular club captain, has been selected for the Welsh national women's U18 lacrosse squad.

This is the second year that Clair has made the selection to the national squad, but she has gone one better on this occasion by being named team captain.

Clair, a student at Stanwell School, has trained hard for this honour not only on the pitch but also in the gymnasium, working on all aspects of her game.

The Welsh women's senior lacrosse squad spotted Clair's potential and she has been invited on regular occasions to train with them.

Her club says this accolade is just reward for the hard work and the determination that she has shown in her preparation together with her continuing commitment to lacrosse.

The officials and players of Penarth Lacrosse Club say they are very proud of her achievements and look forward to her continued success in the years ahead.
