IL Divo

IL DIVO is made up of four exceptional men with formally trained voices who take popular songs, old and new, to another level.

A creation of Simon Cowell, the band was formed after a world-wide search taking more than two years.

Consisting of American David Miller (tenor), Frenchman Sebastien Izambard (vox populi), Spaniard Carlos Marin (baritone) and Swiss Urs Buhler (tenor), Il Divo spent the first half of 2004 in London rehearsing and recording.

The principles share the lead throughout, combining awesome power with tonal delicacy.

Reflecting the multi-national character of the group, the songs drift between Spanish, English and Italian.

The only fly in the ointment is that the music behind the voices can be too overpowering and, quite frankly, cheesy.
