Memento

ORIGINALLY released in 2001, Memento is worth a second look for all those who missed it the first time around.

And with the release of the director's cut and special three-disc box set, now is a good time to give it a whirl.

But take one word of warning; this is an incredibly confusing movie if you do not stay 100 percent focused on it all the way through.

Go to the loo without pausing it, and you will be totally lost when you get back.

Without giving too much away, Guy Pearce is Leonard Shelby, a man with no short-term memory abilities - a condition brought on after a terrible incident at his home.

The film works backwards in stages... and that's where the confusion lies. You're never quite sure where he is in the time line.

Not able to remember anything without writing himself notes, it's difficult for Leonard to know who to trust and what the truth was ten minutes ago.
