Officers from the Vale and Cardiff tackled anti-social behaviour and drug dealing on Cardiff Bus vehicles last week.
Operation Egypt, on Friday, January 21, also involved Police Community Support Officers from Barry who worked in partnership with officers from the Ely Community First team.
Police had received intelligence that a number of youths were causing trouble and using drugs on a Cardiff Bus service.
Plain-clothed officers travelled covertly on the bus service prior to the operation to gather intelligence on youths who may have been responsible for committing acts of anti-social behaviour or using drugs.
The operation took place at a bus stop in Wenvoe, where more plain clothed and uniformed officers boarded the bus.
The younsters who were identified by the undercover officers were then removed from the bus.
Following the operation, a number of youths were arrested for possession of cannabis and Anti-social Behaviour Order (ASBO) referrals were submitted.
These referrals can lead to ASBOs if the anti-social behaviour continues, and are issued for behaviour that causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
Sergeant Maddox-Smart, said: "Anti-social behaviour and drugs use will not be tolerated."
