Tall tower

MY partner and I wrote to Councillor Church on December 7 from different addresses about the proposed plan for the 18-storey tower block for the land adjacent to the Custom House.

We were both interested in our local councillor's representation on this matter.

We were extremely disappointed not to even receive an acknowledgement.

However, we are very pleased that the local Labour councillors addressed the overwhelming public concern with a public meeting in the Pilot Hotel on January 19.

We feel that other residents of St Augustine's ward should be made aware of the indifference of the local Conservative party on this proposal.
