Rooster

THIS band of four rather pretty young men actually seem to have quite a lot to offer.

Considering the fact that they seem to have come from nowhere, Rooster's eponymous debut album is easy listening and very entertaining.

From the first singles released from the album a teen pop vibe was felt, but the album is quite rock in places.

Their first single Come Get Some has an Aerosmith vibe to it, while other up-tempo tracks have hints of Led Zep, Black Crowes and Reef.

On slower songs Rooster verge on Bon Jovi territory.

People into really heavy stuff might find Rooster a little too pop, but for anyone who likes their rock music to have a good song behind it this is a cracking album.

The album seems full of strong tunes, thoughtfully written and well played.

In cases like this, where there is so much hype and a blurring of'type', ignore any comparisons, buy the album and see what you think for yourself.
